Synopsis

A web browser installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Firefox ESR installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is prior to 115.31. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the mfsa2025-93 advisory.

 - Privilege escalation in the DOM: Notifications component. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 146, Firefox ESR < 115.31, and Firefox ESR < 140.6. (CVE-2025-14323)

 - Sandbox escape due to incorrect boundary conditions in the Graphics: CanvasWebGL component. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 146, Firefox ESR < 115.31, and Firefox ESR < 140.6. (CVE-2025-14322)

 - JIT miscompilation in the JavaScript Engine: JIT component. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 146, Firefox ESR < 115.31, and Firefox ESR < 140.6. (CVE-2025-14324)

 - Same-origin policy bypass in the Request Handling component. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 146, Firefox ESR < 115.31, and Firefox ESR < 140.6. (CVE-2025-14331)

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Firefox ESR version 115.31 or later.
