Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 4 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 4 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TSSA-2025:0573 advisory.

 Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 4 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

 CVE-2024-6174:
 When a non-x86 platform is detected, cloud-init grants root access to a hardcoded url with a local IP address. To prevent this,cloud-init default configurations disable platform enumeration.

 CVE-2024-11584:
 cloud-initthrough 25.1.2 includes the systemd socket unitcloud-init-hotplugd.socket with defaultSocketModethat grants 0666 permissions, making it world-writable.This is used for the /run/cloud-init/hook-hotplug-cmd FIFO. An unprivileged user could triggerhotplug-hook commands.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
