Synopsis

A web browser installed on the remote Windows host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 67.0.3396.79. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the 2018_06_stable-channel-update-for-desktop advisory.

- Incorrect implementation in Content Security Policy in Google Chrome prior to 67.0.3396.79 allowed a remote attacker to bypass navigation restrictions via a crafted HTML page. (CVE-2018-6148)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Google Chrome version 67.0.3396.79 or later.
