Synopsis

A mail client installed on the remote Windows host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Thunderbird installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 140.5. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the mfsa2025-91 advisory.

- Use-after-free in the WebRTC: Audio/Video component. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 145 and Firefox ESR < 140.5. (CVE-2025-13020)

- Race condition in the Graphics component. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 145, Firefox ESR < 140.5, and Firefox ESR < 115.30. (CVE-2025-13012)

- Incorrect boundary conditions in the JavaScript: WebAssembly component. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 145 and Firefox ESR < 140.5. (CVE-2025-13016)

- Same-origin policy bypass in the DOM: Notifications component. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 145 and Firefox ESR < 140.5. (CVE-2025-13017)

- Mitigation bypass in the DOM: Security component. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 145 and Firefox ESR < 140.5. (CVE-2025-13018)

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Thunderbird version 140.5 or later.
