Description

The version of Microsoft Office for Mac installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the november-11-2025 advisory.

 - Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Graphics Component allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. (CVE-2025-60724)

 - Use after free in Microsoft Office Excel allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code locally.
 (CVE-2025-62203)

 - Out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Office Excel allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information locally. (CVE-2025-60726, CVE-2025-62202)

 - Out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Office Excel allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code locally.
 (CVE-2025-60727)

 - Untrusted pointer dereference in Microsoft Office Excel allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network. (CVE-2025-60728)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to Office for Mac version 16.103 or later.
