Synopsis
A web browser installed on the remote macOS host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.
Description
The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 142.0.7444.135. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the 2025_11_stable-channel-update-for-desktop advisory.
- Inappropriate implementation in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 142.0.7444.137 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) (CVE-2025-12727)
- Out of bounds read in WebGPU in Google Chrome on Android prior to 142.0.7444.137 allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory write via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) (CVE-2025-12725)
- Inappropriate implementation in Views in Google Chrome on Windows prior to 142.0.7444.137 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to perform privilege escalation via a crafted HTML page.

- Inappropriate implementation in Omnibox in Google Chrome on Android prior to 142.0.7444.137 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific UI gestures to perform UI spoofing via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) (CVE-2025-12728, CVE-2025-12729)
Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
Solution
Upgrade to Google Chrome version 142.0.7444.135 or later.
