TencentOS Server 2: gdk-pixbuf2 (TSSA-2025:0794)

high Nessus Plugin ID 271127

Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 2 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 2 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TSSA-2025:0794 advisory.

Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 2 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

CVE-2025-7345:
A flaw exists in gdkpixbuf within the gdk_pixbuf__jpeg_image_load_increment function (io-jpeg.c) and in glibs g_base64_encode_step (glib/gbase64.c). When processing maliciously crafted JPEG images, a heap buffer overflow can occur during Base64 encoding, allowing out-of-bounds reads from heap memory, potentially causing application crashes or arbitrary code execution.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Tencent Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
