Synopsis

A GPU virtualization application installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The NVIDIA Virtual GPU Manager software on the remote host is missing a security update. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability where a malicious guest could cause uninitialized pointer access. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, denial of service, escalation of privileges, information disclosure, and data tampering.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the NVIDIA vGPU Manager software in accordance with the vendor advisory.
