Description

The version of Microsoft Xbox Gaming Services on the remote Windows host is prior to 31.105.17001.0. It is, therefore, affected by an elevation of privilege vulnerability:

- Improper link resolution before file access ('link following') in XBox Gaming Services allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. (CVE-2025-59281)

Solution

Upgrade to Microsoft Xbox Gaming Services version 31.105.17001.0 or later via the Microsoft Store.
