medium Nessus Plugin ID 269123

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2025-986775 advisory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

media: staging: media: zoran: calculate the right buffer number for zoran_reap_stat_com

On the case tmp_dcim=1, the index of buffer is miscalculated.
This generate a NULL pointer dereference later.

So let's fix the calcul and add a check to prevent this to reappear.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution
