Unity Linux 20.1070e Security Update: kernel (UTSA-2025-986863)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 268614

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2025-986863 advisory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

soc: qcom: rpmpd: Check for null return of devm_kcalloc

Because of the possible failure of the allocation, data->domains might be NULL pointer and will cause the dereference of the NULL pointer later.
Therefore, it might be better to check it and directly return -ENOMEM without releasing data manually if fails, because the comment of the devm_kmalloc() says Memory allocated with this function is automatically freed on driver detach..

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
