Unity Linux 20.1050a / 20.1060a / 20.1070a Security Update: kernel (UTSA-2025-394240)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 267608

Synopsis

The Unity Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The Unity Linux 20 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the UTSA-2025-394240 advisory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

media: v4l2-tpg: fix some memleaks in tpg_alloc

In tpg_alloc, resources should be deallocated in each and every error-handling paths, since they are allocated in for statements.
Otherwise there would be memleaks because tpg_free is called only when tpg_alloc return 0.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Unity Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kernel package.
