Synopsis

The remote RockyLinux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote RockyLinux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RLSA-2025:8635 advisory.

 * perl-fcgi: FCGI versions 0.44 through 0.82, for Perl, include a vulnerable version of the FastCGI fcgi2 (aka fcgi) library (CVE-2025-40907)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected perl-FCGI, perl-FCGI-debuginfo and / or perl-FCGI-debugsource packages.
