Synopsis

The remote host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Mattermost Server installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the MMSA-2025-00511 advisory.

 - Mattermost versions 10.5.x <= 10.5.9 fail to properly validate redirect URLs which allows attackers to redirect users to malicious sites via crafted OAuth login URLs. (CVE-2025-9084)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mattermost Server version 10.5.10 / 10.11.0 or later.
