Synopsis

A web browser installed on the remote Windows host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Firefox installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 143.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the mfsa2025-73 advisory.

 - Memory safety bugs present in Firefox ESR 140.2, Thunderbird ESR 140.2, Firefox 142 and Thunderbird 142.
 Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. (CVE-2025-10537)

 - This vulnerability affects Firefox < 143, Firefox ESR < 140.3, Thunderbird < 143, and Thunderbird < 140.3.
 (CVE-2025-10527, CVE-2025-10528, CVE-2025-10529, CVE-2025-10532, CVE-2025-10536)

 - This vulnerability affects Firefox < 143 and Thunderbird < 143. (CVE-2025-10530, CVE-2025-10531, CVE-2025-10534)

 - This vulnerability affects Firefox < 143, Firefox ESR < 115.28, Firefox ESR < 140.3, Thunderbird < 143, and Thunderbird < 140.3. (CVE-2025-10533)

 - This vulnerability affects Firefox < 143. (CVE-2025-10535)

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Firefox version 143.0 or later.
