Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of microcode_ctl installed on the remote host is prior to 2.1-47. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the ALAS2-2025-2994 advisory.

 A potential security vulnerability in some Intel(r) Processors may allow information disclosure. Intel is releasing microcode updates and prescriptive guidance to mitigate this potential vulnerability.
