Synopsis

The remote host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Mattermost Server installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the MMSA-2025-00470 advisory.

 - Mattermost versions 10.5.x <= 10.5.8 fail to validate access controls at time of access which allows user to read a thread via AI posts (CVE-2025-49810)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mattermost Server version 10.5.91, 10.10.0 or later.
