Description

The version of Adobe ColdFusion installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 2021.x update 22, 2023.x update 16, or 2025.x update 4. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the APSB25-93 advisory.

- ColdFusion versions 2025.3, 2023.15, 2021.21 and earlier are affected by an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability that could lead to arbitrary code execution by an attacker. Scope is changed. (CVE-2025-54261)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to Adobe ColdFusion version 2021 update 22 / 2023 update 16 / 2025 update 4 or later.
