Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the versions of the pam package installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

 A flaw was found in linux-pam. The module pam_namespace may use access user-controlled paths without proper protection, allowing local users to elevate their privileges to root via multiple symlink attacks and race conditions.(CVE-2025-6020)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS pam security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected pam packages.
