Synopsis

The remote host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Rejetto HTTP File Server installed on the remote host is 2.3x prior to 2.3c. It is, therefore, affected by a remote code execution vulnerability. The findMacroMarker function in parserLib.pas in Rejetto HTTP File Server (aks HFS or HttpFileServer) 2.3x before 2.3c allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary programs via a %00 sequence in a search action.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update Rejetto HTTP File Server to version 2.3c or later.
