Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 2 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 2 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TSSA-2025:0543 advisory.

 Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 2 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

 CVE-2017-9233:
 XML External Entity vulnerability in libexpat 2.2.0 and earlier (Expat XML Parser Library) allows attackers to put the parser in an infinite loop using a malformed external entity definition from an external DTD.

 CVE-2016-9063:
 An integer overflow during the parsing of XML using the Expat library. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 50.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
