Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for perl.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2025:11545 advisory.

 Perl is a high-level programming language that is commonly used for system administration utilities and web programming.

 Security Fix(es):

 * perl: Perl threads have a working directory race condition where file operations may target unintended paths (CVE-2025-40909)
