Synopsis

A web browser installed on the remote macOS host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 138.0.7204.157. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the 2025_07_stable-channel-update-for-desktop_15 advisory.

 - Use after free in WebRTC. (CVE-2025-7657)

 - Incorrect validation of untrusted input in ANGLE and GPU. (CVE-2025-6558)

 - Integer overflow in V8. (CVE-2025-7656)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Google Chrome version 138.0.7204.157 or later.
