critical Nessus Plugin ID 241874

Synopsis

The remote Azure Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

The version of sudo installed on the remote Azure Linux 3.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2025-32463 advisory.

- Sudo before 1.9.17p1 allows local users to obtain root access because /etc/nsswitch.conf from a user- controlled directory is used with the --chroot option. (CVE-2025-32463)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
