Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

 - An issue has been discovered in GitLab EE affecting all versions from 18.0 before 18.0.4 and 18.1 before 18.1.2 that could have allowed authenticated users with invitation privileges to bypass group-level user invitation restrictions by manipulating group invitation functionality. (CVE-2025-4972)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 18.0.4, 18.1.2 or later.
