Synopsis

The Adobe Audition instance installed on the remote host is affected by an application denial-of-service vulnerability.

Description

The version of Adobe Audition installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 24.6.7, 25.3. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the APSB25-56 advisory.

 - Audition versions 25.2, 24.6.3 and earlier are affected by an Access of Memory Location After End of Buffer vulnerability that could result in application denial-of-service. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to crash the application or disrupt its functionality. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2025-43580)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Audition version 24.6.7, 25.3 or later.
