Synopsis

The Adobe After Effects instance installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe After Effects installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 24.6.7, 25.3. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB25-49 advisory.

 - After Effects versions 25.2, 24.6.6 and earlier are affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability that could lead to disclosure of sensitive memory. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass mitigations such as ASLR. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2025-43587)

 - After Effects versions 25.2, 24.6.6 and earlier are affected by a NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability that could lead to application denial-of-service. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to crash the application, causing disruption to services. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2025-47109)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe After Effects version 24.6.7, 25.3 or later.
