Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 2 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 2 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TSSA-2024:0261 advisory.

Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 2 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

CVE-2023-4727:
A flaw was found in dogtag-pki and pki-core. The token authentication scheme can be bypassed with a LDAP injection. By passing the query string parameter sessionID=*, an attacker can authenticate with an existing session saved in the LDAP directory server, which may lead to escalation of privilege.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
