Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 3 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 3 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TSSA-2024:0794 advisory.

Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 3 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

CVE-2024-7006:
A null pointer dereference flaw was found in Libtiff via tif_dirinfo.c. This issue may allow an attacker to trigger memory allocation failures through certain means, such as restricting the heap space size or injecting faults, causing a segmentation fault. This can cause an application crash, eventually leading to a denial of service.
