Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 4 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 4 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TSSA-2024:0991 advisory.

 Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 4 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

 CVE-2024-45160:
 Incorrect credential validation in LemonLDAP::NG 2.18.x and 2.19.x before 2.19.2 allows attackers to bypass OAuth2 client authentication via an empty client_password parameter (client secret).

 CVE-2024-48933:
 A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in LemonLDAP::NG before 2.19.3 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML into the login page via a username if userControl has been set to a non-default value that allows special HTML characters.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Tencent Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
