TencentOS Server 3: raptor2 (TSSA-2022:0082)

high Nessus Plugin ID 239424

Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 3 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 3 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TSSA-2022:0082 advisory.

Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 3 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

CVE-2017-18926:
raptor_xml_writer_start_element_common in raptor_xml_writer.c in Raptor RDF Syntax Library 2.0.15 miscalculates the maximum nspace declarations for the XML writer, leading to heap-based buffer overflows (sometimes seen in raptor_qname_format_as_xml).

CVE-2020-25713:
A malformed input file can lead to a segfault due to an out of bounds array access in raptor_xml_writer_start_element_common.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Tencent Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
