Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 4 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 4 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TSSA-2025:0096 advisory.

Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 4 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

CVE-2023-43788:
A vulnerability was found in libXpm due to a boundary condition within the XpmCreateXpmImageFromBuffer() function. This flaw allows a local to trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read the contents of memory on the system.

CVE-2023-43789:
A vulnerability was found in libXpm where a vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition, a local user can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
