Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 4 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 4 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TSSA-2024:0166 advisory.

Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 4 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

CVE-2023-24056:
In pkgconf through 1.9.3, variable duplication can cause unbounded string expansion due to incorrect checks in libpkgconf/tuple.c:pkgconf_tuple_parse. For example, a .pc file containing a few hundred bytes can expand to one billion bytes.
