Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 3 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 3 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TSSA-2024:0075 advisory.

 Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 3 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

 CVE-2023-39326:
 A flaw was found in the Golang net/http/internal package. This issue may allow a malicious user to send an HTTP request and cause the receiver to read more bytes from network than are in the body (up to 1GiB), causing the receiver to fail reading the response, possibly leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).

 CVE-2023-45285:
 A flaw was found in the Golang package cmd/go. This issue permits the fallback to insecure git:// if trying to fetch a .git module that has no https:// or git+ssh:// available.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
