Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 2 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 2 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TSSA-2023:0317 advisory.

Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 2 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

CVE-2023-5869:
A flaw was found in PostgreSQL that allows authenticated database users to execute arbitrary code through missing overflow checks during SQL array value modification. This issue exists due to an integer overflow during array modification where a remote user can trigger the overflow by providing specially crafted data. This enables the execution of arbitrary code on the target system, allowing users to write arbitrary bytes to memory and extensively read the server's memory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
