Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 3 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 3 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the TSSA-2024:0232 advisory.

Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 3 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

CVE-2023-6597:
A flaw was found in the tempfile.TemporaryDirectory class in python3/cpython3. The class may dereference symbolic links during permission-related errors, resulting in users that run privileged programs being able to modify permissions of files referenced by the symbolic link.

CVE-2024-0450:
A flaw was found in the Python/CPython 'zipfile' that can allow a zip-bomb type of attack. An attacker may craft a zip file format, leading to a Denial of Service when processed.
