Description

The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 137.0.7151.55. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the 2025_05_stable-channel-update-for-desktop_27 advisory.

 - Use after free in libvpx. (CVE-2025-5283)

 - Use after free in Compositing. (CVE-2025-5063)

 - Out of bounds write in V8. (CVE-2025-5280)

 - Inappropriate implementation in Background Fetch API. (CVE-2025-5064)

 - Inappropriate implementation in FileSystemAccess API. (CVE-2025-5065)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Google Chrome version 137.0.7151.55 or later.
