The remote host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of BeyondTrust Privilege Management for Windows installed on the remote host is prior to 25.2. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the BT25-01 advisory.

- Prior to 25.2, a local authenticated attacker can elevate privileges on a system with Privilege Management for Windows installed, via the manipulation of COM objects under certain circumstances where an EPM policy allows for automatic privilege elevation of a user process. (CVE-2025-0889)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to BeyondTrust Privilege Management for Windows version 25.2 or later.
