Synopsis

The remote Atlassian Jira host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Atlassian Jira Server running on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the JRASERVER-78717 advisory.

 - An XXE issue in SAXBuilder in JDOM through 2.0.6 allows attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted HTTP request. (CVE-2021-33813)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Jira version 9.12.22 or later.
