Synopsis

A GPU virtualization application installed on the remote host is affected by denial of service vulnerability.

Description

The NVIDIA Virtual GPU Manager software on the remote host is missing a security update. It is, therefore, affected by denial of service vulnerability:

- NVIDIA vGPU software for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability in the Virtual GPU Manager (vGPU plugin), where it allows a guest to access global resources. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service. (CVE-2025-23245)

- NVIDIA vGPU software for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability in the Virtual GPU Manager (vGPU plugin), where it allows a guest to consume uncontrolled resources. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service. (CVE-2025-23246) Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the NVIDIA vGPU Manager software in accordance with the vendor advisory.
