Synopsis

A web browser installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Firefox ESR installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is prior to 115.22. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the mfsa2025-21 advisory.

 - JavaScript code running while transforming a document with the XSLTProcessor could lead to a use-after- free. (CVE-2025-3028)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Firefox ESR version 115.22 or later.
