A web browser installed on the remote macOS host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Google Chrome installed on the remote macOS host is prior to 129.0.6668.89. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the 2024_10_stable-channel-update-for-desktop advisory.

 - This CVE was assigned by Chrome. Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) ingests Chromium, which addresses this vulnerability. Please see Google Chrome Releases for more information. (CVE-2024-9370)

 - Insufficient data validation in Mojo in Google Chrome prior to 129.0.6668.89 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to perform an out of bounds memory write via a crafted HTML page.

 - Integer overflow in Layout in Google Chrome prior to 129.0.6668.89 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) (CVE-2024-7025)

Solution

Upgrade to Google Chrome version 129.0.6668.89 or later.
