The remote Oracle Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Oracle Linux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ELSA-2024-2295 advisory.

 - libjpeg-turbo version 2.0.90 has a heap-based buffer over-read (2 bytes) in decompress_smooth_data in jdcoefct.c. (CVE-2021-29390)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
