Synopsis

The remote Fedora host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Fedora 40 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the FEDORA-2023-5f904f4dd4 advisory.

 - NATS nats-server 2.2.0 through 2.7.4 allows directory traversal because of an unintended path to a management action from a management account. (CVE-2022-28357)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected golang-github-nats-io, golang-github-protobuf and / or nats-server packages.
