Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates for rh-nginx112-nginx.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2018:3680 advisory.

 - nginx: Excessive memory consumption via flaw in HTTP/2 implementation (CVE-2018-16843)

 - nginx: Excessive CPU usage via flaw in HTTP/2 implementation (CVE-2018-16844)

 - nginx: Denial of service and memory disclosure via mp4 module (CVE-2018-16845)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL rh-nginx112-nginx package based on the guidance in RHSA-2018:3680.
