Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates for Ansible.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 / 8 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2019:2543 advisory.

 - Ansible: disclosure data when prompted for password and template characters are passed (CVE-2019-10206)

 - Ansible: gcp modules do not flag sensitive data fields properly (CVE-2019-10217)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL Ansible package based on the guidance in RHSA-2019:2543.
