Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for opencryptoki.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2024:1856 advisory.

 - opencryptoki: timing side-channel in handling of RSA PKCS#1 v1.5 padded ciphertexts (Marvin) (CVE-2024-0914)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL opencryptoki package based on the guidance in RHSA-2024:1856.
