The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 20.04 LTS / 22.04 LTS / 23.10 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-6714-1 advisory.

- debmany in debian-goodies 0.88.1 allows attackers to execute arbitrary shell commands (because of an eval call) via a crafted .deb file. (The path is shown to the user before execution.) (CVE-2023-27635)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected debian-goodies package.
