Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the versions of the libtiff packages installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

 - There exists one heap buffer overflow in _TIFFmemcpy in tif_unix.c in libtiff 4.0.10, which allows an attacker to cause a denial-of-service through a crafted tiff file. (CVE-2020-18768)

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected libtiff packages.
