The remote Oracle Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Oracle Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ELSA-2024-0768 advisory.

 - libmaxminddb before 1.4.3 has a heap-based buffer over-read in dump_entry_data_list in maxminddb.c.
 (CVE-2020-28241)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected libmaxminddb and / or libmaxminddb-devel packages.
